Hey there - I facilitated this amazing book club earlier this year (and a few Network Ireland members attended!) and we intensely reviewed Brené's latest book, Atlas of the Heart. As a Certified Facilitator for Brené's Dare To Lead programming, I am obliged (at least I feel that way) to get her work into the world.... starting with Ireland! I was asked to facilitate more book review clubs and so I'm polling anyone interested. Let me know what you think. If you are interested, complete the survey on this page. And let me know as well as we will begin our regular monthly book reviews in a few months!
Here is an excerpt from the book club page:
The Best Book Club
For business owners and leaders who are inspired and scared to dig into hard things because greatness is on the other side.
This is the book club for you if you:
-
Can’t consume enough of Brené Brown – her books, podcasts, TEDTalks and interviews
-
Don’t have enough time to read the stack of books on your nightstand, but they are so important!
-
Need an outlet to discuss these life-changing topics and thoughts that are presented by Brené and her cohorts of guests
-
Struggle to complete the books you begin because of time constraints, processing important ideas, and even…maybe… you have a reading disability and finishing a book seems impossible.
Yes, even if you identify with this last category of people who want to dig in but don’t feel like you belong to a “book club”, you are invited to join us.
During this book club, we will be reviewing a variety of books including books authored and recommended by Brené Brown.
We have recently completed the book review of ‘Atlas of the Heart: Mapping Meaningful Connection and the Language of Human Experience’ by Brené Brown skillfully explores over 87 human emotions.
Join our book club as we search within ourselves and learn what we don’t know, connect with our emotions and honor our experiences.
Complete this survey and get notified when this book club launches this summer!
