“In the long history of humankind those who learned to collaborate and improvise most effectively, have prevailed.” -Charles Darwin
That could well be the motto of the Kildare branch of Network Ireland. In Kildare we believe strongly in collaboration and being more than the sum of our individual parts. We pride ourselves on the strength of our welcome – we put a lot of emphasis on being positive, on building relationships and supporting each other. In the words of one of our past presidents, Women can talk to each other on an intimate level that most men find unbelievable. That is our strength. At its very core Network Ireland is committed to helping women to thrive and to challenge themselves.
Members join Network for different reasons – be they to make business connections or interact with like-minded individuals on a social level, but whatever the reason, we will only achieve those goals by taking part and being involved.
In Kildare we are a vibrant and active branch of Network Ireland. We have been operating in the greater Kildare region for over 16 years and currently have more than 80 members. We organise events throughout the year covering topics such as Women in Leadership, Communication Skills, Marketing and Finance. We also celebrate International Women’s Day in March, have our annual Business Awards Competition and our Annual Charity lunch in November.
We encourage all our members to attend events, get to know each other, go forward for the awards, and above all – network, both locally and with other branches nationally.
And remember, when you’re networking: “You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people, than you can in two years by trying to get people interested in you” (Dale Carnegie).
