BERNICE MORAN;- “The Be Sweet Company” and pilot with Virgin Airways will tell us her amazing story (which was broadcast earlier this year on TV) on how she brings her children to school each morning and then heads to fly a Jumbo 747 for Virgin Atlantic !. Along with her sister she has also started her own sweet company, which is now available in shops nationwide.
As a young girl, Bernice adored not only airplanes, but all things sweet and wonderful! Bernice’s dream as a pilot came true as she now flies the Boeing 747 – 400 for Virgin Atlantic Airways.
One night, after departing Havana on a star filled night and flying over the vast Atlantic Ocean, Bernice thought deeply about her true love of chocolate and the lack of style and uniqueness in confectionery today. With that in mind, she envisioned designing her own fashion led confectionery brand.
Hence, The Be Sweet Company was born as Bernice entwined her love of both sweets and flying.
As the concept was fast becoming a reality, Bernice approached her own boss Richard Branson who is one of the worlds most famous Entrepreneurs for direction. Sir Richard loved the idea of The Be Sweet Company and came on board (pardon the pun) as a mentor and to help launch the company on the global stage.
Together Bernice with her sister Linda work with fabulous attention to designed and developed their collections to enrapture a style of glitz and glamour that has never been seen before in confectionary.
