Kildare Businesswomen clean up at National Awards

Network Ireland’s National Conference and Awards took place at the Clarion Hotel, Cork City with over 200 business women from all over Ireland who gathered to discuss, network and learn from one another and from a powerful line-up of speakers whose expertise and knowledge was shared with a theme of Fearless Ambition. This year, Network Ireland Kildare businesswomen Emma Murphy and Sonia Moran received top awards at this year’s ceremony.

Emma Murphy, PartyMad, was awarded “SME (6-20 employee’s) Business Woman of the Year”. Emma is the Sales Director & Owner at PartyMad. Purple Wolf t/a Party Mad is an Irish owned, female managed business based in Celbridge, Co. Kildare is an SME that has grown from 1 to 9 employees and are currently recruiting 12 new employees. From a sitting room to 3 retail premises plus an online and wholesale division our business has gone from strength to strength. PartyMad has grown year on year, and we attribute this to our fantastic team, networking and our expertise within our field. Emma is an award winning Networker for her business and firmly believes people buy from people. She is highly motivated, and driven individual with a Can Do Will Do attitude dealing at all levels within her customer organisations. She believes having clear goals and objectives for the business is vital to her success and the future growth of PartyMad on a national and international level. Emma Murphy commented: “I was shocked and delighted with the award. It is a great honour. Network Ireland Kildare branch members have been very supportive and encouraging through the whole process. I couldn’t have done it without them.”

Sonia Moran, Punctual Print, was Highly Commended in the Employee Business Woman of the Year category. Sonia is a very driven hard working mother, originally from Dublin but moved to Wicklow nine years ago. Although she misses Dublin sometimes, she has made some great friends from networking that have made her feel very at home. She works in the family business ‘Punctual Print’. Sonia loves her job and is very passionate about growing the company. She loves to meet new people all the time, and that’s the best part of her job. Her family is her world, her partner Mick and her two children Andre who is 18 and Robyn who is 14. She loves to socialise with friends and family.Sonia Moran commented: “I never expected to win this award, it is a dream come true for me. My phone has been ringing non-stop, with good wishes from clients, friends and fellow Network members.”
