A winning formula for the National Awards
Posted on: October 2, 2016
Network Ireland’s Annual Conference and Awards took place in The Clarion Hotel Cork on Friday 30th of September with in excess of 200 business women leaders. The attendees came from all over Ireland which afforded them the opportunity to network, discuss and learn from each other. With a powerful lineup of national and international speakers whose expertise and knowledge was shared with a theme of Fearless Ambition there was a really positive atmosphere throughout the day.
The event which is sponsored by AIB, Vodafone, and Cork City Council and supported by Enterprise Ireland and Business & Finance culminated in a Gala Dinner and National Business Awards. It was at these awards that a group of Fearlessly Ambitious women who were the winners of 8 regional Awards, were pitted against each other for the national title of Businesswoman of the Year in four categories: Employee, Emerging Business, Small Established Business and Established Business.
And it was in this sphere that Louth emerged victorious. Our representatives, Margaret Reilly of Grand Designs/CTR Manufacturing, Alma Jordan of Agrikids and Yvonne Brady of EVB Sport showcased the finest Louth has to offer.
And on the night, Alma Jordan of Agrikids and Yvonne Brady of EVB Sport emerged victorious by winning the Emerging Business Category and the SME < 5 employees category respectively.
The wins by Alma Jordan and Yvonne Brady meant that 50% of the awards actually went to Louth this year, an amazing achievement and one that showcases the drive and ambition of Louth women.
