Anne has been a member of Network Ireland Mayo for a number of years as membership coordinator and Vice President and was honoured to be elected President of Mayo for 2018.  Anne is also a member of National Executive committee as President of Mayo and also as Sponsorship Officer.

Before establishing her own training company Anne worked for Irish Independent News and Media group as a Sales Manager, Corporate Express Ireland as a Senior Account Manager and BWG Foods as Branch manager in Value Centre Carrickmacross and Castlebar.  As part of Anne’s role within these companies she managed and trained employees for over 20 years. She has vast knowledge in sales and people development, which bought her to launch Conlon Training 8 years ago, which works with businesses to improve staff performance and to increases profits.  Anne also trains in communities delivering soft skills training like confidence building stress management to mention a few.

As a mature student Anne returned to college and studied an Honours Degree in Training and Education (2014) and Masters in Adult Learning and Development (2016).  No surprise one of Anne’s passions is education and it’s delivery to adults – far from the school setting is her training! As for the other 2 passions – Sales, lives and breaths it, and recently social dancing, just to relax!

Deirdre currently works for Mayo Centre for Independent Living as Programme Manager. Mayo CIL was founded in March 1995, for those individuals between the ages of 18 and 65 with physical and sensory disabilities. The organization works within a social model of disability and emphasises the Philosophy of Independent Living.  Deirdre has been involved with Mayo CIL since 2003 when she served on the board initially as Board Secretary and then as Chairperson before officially joining the Organization in 2008 in her current capacity.

Prior to that Deirdre worked for Enable Ireland as a Retail Shop Manager in Castlebar, this organization provides essential services for children and Adults with disabilities and their families. Having played an active role in the community and voluntary sector for over 20 years, she demonstrates her commitment to advocacy services for people with disabilities in Co.Mayo and holds a certificate in Disabilities from The National University of Ireland, Maynooth, Health Care Supervisory certification and studied a ‘Community Family Studies’ program at National University Galway.

Louise McDonnell is an online and social media marketing expert. She specialises is delivering Social Media keynotes, training and coaching and has a particular expertise in Facebook Marketing having coached and trained in excess of 2000 businesses since 2009.

 

Louise published her first book in October 2017 (Liffey Press). “Facebook Marketing, The Essential Guide for Irish Organisations” is a book written specifically with small business owners, community groups and voluntary groups in mind. Louise’s book is a practical step by step guide packed full of examples and case studies of businesses have succeeded with Facebook.

 

In October 2017 Louise was voted as one of the top worldwide 50 Facebook Marketing Bloggers by Feedspot.  At the end of 2017 Springboard.com listed Louise as one of the top 108 digital marketing experts worth following and in February 2018 BloggerLocal listed her as one of the top 10 worldwide Facebook experts!

 

Louise works with many Irish Government Agencies including Failte Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and Local Enterprise Offices in Mayo,  Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal and Roscommon. She also provides corporate training and keynote addresses to businesses all over the world.

My name is Mary Cunningham and I am a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant since 1995.  On leaving college and obtaining my ACCA qualification , I worked in a small private practice in Castlebar for two years until 1997. I then moved to London for four years, where I worked with Bank of America – initially as a Treasury P & L analyst. During my time there, I was seconded to establish a, process re-engineering project for International operations for one year. My final post in Bank of America was, as a month-end financial reporting accountant in the Product Control and Finance section of the bank.

In 2001, I returned to Ireland and returned to accountancy work in private practice in Galway and Mayo. My work included,  preparing year-end financial accounts for small business and completing audit work for various clients. In 2004, I got married and very soon after started a family.  In order to ensure I spent time with my family, I work from home, providing a book-keeping service to clients.

I prepare VAT, RCT and Paye/Prsi and other book – keeping services  and I also review health insurance options for clients. In the last year I have also worked as a part – time financial administrator for a charity in Mayo.

Since qualifying over twenty years ago, my accountancy qualification has allowed me to work in all aspects of finance. I really enjoy this varied accountancy work and love being able to help individuals and businesses, navigate the many reporting obligations, placed on them by Revenue and the banks. Now that my family are moving on to secondrary education, this allows me to look at working outside the home, in the years to come.
