Describe your business in 3 words

Workplace & Digital Wellbeing

What has been your greatest achievement to date?

Helping people to manage their digital behaviours so that they can have a more positive relationship with their technology and social media.

What are your hopes for your business in 2020?

To offer more services online so I can reach as many people as possible. I also want to update my services in line with current requirements. So many more people are working (or at least, managing) from home now. This comes with different struggles. We are also more reliant on technology than we were even a few short months ago. So I want to support people to lean into the positives around tech use, and move away from the negatives as much as possible.
I have been offering free online workshops in conjunction with Galway Executive Skillnet over the past weeks, and it has been such a rewarding experience to be able to reach so many people and help them with their digital resilience. The feedback has been really positive so far so I’m hopeful that offering this kind of service will work well in the future too.

What person or book has inspired you?

A book called Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. I recommend anyone to read it, and I think it is particularly relevant in the modern world of social media, distraction and instant gratification. Such an interesting read and has also helped me with my work. If anyone wants to borrow my copy I’m happy to post it out to them 🙂

What did you want to be when you grew up as a child?

What I wanted to be changed daily. One day it was a teacher, the next it was an actor. I was very shy as a child and really wanted to do drama but I didn’t think I would be able to. My mother supported me to go and it really helped with my confidence. I think the years I did drama as a child and teenager enabled me to be able to stand up in front of people and talk for a living, which I do now regularly.
