What has been your greatest achievement to date?
My greatest achievement in business to date was winning an award in The Best Product Category at Showcase Ireland 2020
What are your hopes for your business in 2020?
My hope for my business in 2020 is to increase and improve my online presence. In these difficult times- we’re changing the way we do business. I hope to effectively
What person or book has inspired you?
I would be mostly inspired by my friends. A lot of my friends are makers so they’re invaluable for advice, ideas and suggestions. Many of them have young families like mine so seeing how they can accomplish so much and follow their dreams really inspires me to do the same.
What did you want to be when you grew up as a child?
From 7 years of age- i wanted to be an architect. I use to spend hours making little shops out of cardboard.Complete with little changing rooms with moving doors!
This ambition moved on to wanting to be an interior designer and then finally to jewellery maker.
Business Description – what do you do?
Lynsey de Burca, a jewellery designer/maker who designs and creates beautiful, quality pieces with a minimal aesthetic inspired by the piers along the Wild Atlantic Way.
From the composition of fishing nets strewn over a pier wall to the copper rust tones of boat chains contrasting against the silver tides. Every element an inspiration.
Her favourite link pendants and chain necklaces highlight an innovative and contemporary approach to design.
Created in sterling silver and using centuries old craft techniques, each link from every one of her collections is hand forged in her Studio in Galway.
