MARKETING IN THE DIGITAL AGE

This event aims to equip business owners and employees with practical knowledge and skills to broaden their digital marketing strategies, to reach their target markets and to boost their online presence.
Speakers on the evening will include:
Ernest Cantillon owns and operates businesses in different sectors including Electric Bar and Restaurant, Sober Lane and Wotbox. He has always been an early adopter of emerging opportunities with social media and digital marketing and has used to them to set his businesses apart from competitors.
Wotbox concentrates on helping people understand marketing in the digital age and specialises in enabling business owners and employees to deliver engaging relevant content to their customers through website design, social media training and customised content bundles. Wotbox also fulfil the role of a traditional design agency by offering print and design services.
Stephen Ryan is the new Head of Marketing at Cork’s Red FM, having held the same role at Fota Wildlife Park for over seven years.
During his time with Fota Wildlife Park, Stephen developed a very strong and successful marketing communications strategy, resulting in significant growth in the number of visits to the park from 330,000 in 2008 to 440,000 in 2015 and also increased website hits from 60,000 per annum to 380,000 per annum. The park now has over 121,000 Facebook fans and nearly 14,000 Twitter followers who interact with them on a daily basis. This social media success led to a special award being presented to the company at the Cork Company of the Year awards for Customer Engagement.
Stephen is a regular digital marketing guest speaker in some of Ireland’s leading third level colleges, BIAZA, Media contact, Marketing Institute, Web Summit, Cork County Mayor Conference, Cork Chamber, Cobh Chamber, Failte Ireland and a variety of other organisations.
Stephen is also a part time digital marketing lecturer at CIT.\
Natasha Lynch is the founder of Essential French, Ireland’s leading Grinds College for French and Irish. Natasha is a huge advocate of effective utilisation of social media to enhance brand loyalty and customer service experience. Her creative approach to social media was recognised at both a national and local level when she picked up awards at The Bord Gais Social Media Awards and Cork Chamber’s Digital Marketing Awards in 2014.
She and her team recently launched a French Leaving Cert App in Ireland and the UK using only Snapchat as a marketing platform. Within 24 hours the app featured as the Top Grossing App in App Stores and was trending throughout Ireland. The app has featured on TheJournal.ie, Newstalk, The Sunday Business Post and the Irish Independent.

This is an open event and all are welcome. Tickets are free for Network Cork members, €25 for non-members (including booking fee).
