The National Executive

Our National Executive run the organisation on behalf of nearly 1,000 members throughout Ireland. Membership of the National Executive is made up of a team of Executive Officers who are all members from our branches and the Presidents and Vice Presidents of each of our branches.

Aisling O’Neill

President 2021

Aisling is Manager of ArcLabs Research and Innovation Centre, Waterford Institute of Technology’s business incubator, supporting entrepreneurship in the South East of Ireland from their sites in Waterford and Kilkenny.

Aisling has over 10 years experience working across various research and innovation roles, completing her PhD in 2016 in entrepreneurship at Waterford Institute of Technology. Her PhD focussed on the area of entrepreneurship and networks, with specific interest in the gender dimension of network development. Enter Network Ireland! Aisling has presented her research internationally, across Ireland, the UK, Europe and the US.

Aisling is President of Network Ireland for 2021 and loves the opportunity that Network affords for members to grow their Network nationally via visiting other branch events, more apt than ever now that all events are taking place virtually – in one week, you could attend events in Galway, West Cork, Waterford or Kildare without leaving your house!

Aisling was President of the Network Ireland Waterford branch for two years (2017 and 2018) and remains an active member of the committee. She is thrilled to be involved with Network Ireland and is passionate about the Network ethos: to drive the personal and professional development of women.

Louisa Meehan

Louisa is the owner of Woodview HRM offering tailored Human Resource solutions and Workplace Mediation Services to companies in the SME sector. In addition she is a part time lecturer in UCD and Smurfit Graduate School of Business in the fields of HR and Organisational Behaviour and a trainer with IBEC.
Her career has been focused on working with individuals and organisations to support them in maximising the potential of their Human Capital – she considers ‘employees’ to be the greatest asset to any organisation.
As a graduate of UCD, Smurfit, and NUI Galway Louisa has a strong belief in the benefit of life long learning and the importance of continuous growth and development.
She was a founding member of Network Ireland Wicklow and President of the Wicklow branch for 2 consecutive years in establishing the branch at a local level. She has contributed at a National level both as branch President and working on a number of National events.
From Leitrim originally, Louisa now lives in Wicklow with her husband Mark and son’s Ethan and Jacob.

Barbara Nugent is Treasurer of Network Ireland.

As a qualified Accountant since 1992 Barbara has worked as a Senior Finance
Executive for multinational organisations for more than 20 years. From start-
ups to development of European HQ finance function, her years of leading
teams through change, professional and personal development of new leaders
and improving productivity in operations led her to a new career. In 2014 she
left her high profile corporate role as VP Finance EMEA and India to start her
own business – coaching and mentoring business people in the same skills she
had learned over her years in business. Having completed three post-graduate
diplomas with Irish Management Institute in Leadership, Executive Coaching
and Organisational Behaviour she completed her studies in 2015 with UCC
with an MSc in Business Practice. In 2014 Transilient Coaching Ltd was born,
an Executive Coaching business specialising in the leadership skills of
Emotional Intelligence and Resilience but also providing a broad range of
services encompassing strategy setting, career coaching, development of high
performance teams and quarterly business focus sessions for small business.
Barbara speaks regularly at events on the topics of EQ and Resilience building
aimed at helping others adopt a healthier view of work and life. Barbara is
married to John for 20 years and has a son Sam (18) and a daughter Lorna (14)
and lives in Clonakilty, West Cork.

Roseann, previously a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young London Roseann is now Partner in Noone Casey. She has extensive experience and knowledge of auditing and accounting, risk management and taxation for all sizes of businesses across all types of industries including IT & Technology, Marketing, Retail and Financial Services.

Roseann now advises SME business owners in maximising profitability and tax planning. She is also heavily involved in making extensive use of Information Technology in all aspects of her practice to enhance the services and efficiencies as well as to advise clients.

Niamh Hennessy

Niamh Hennessy


Niamh has 15 years of experience in the areas of communications, public relations and journalism.
She has worked in Dublin, Cork, London and New York and was most recently Media Relations Manager for AIB Bank. She is now Client Director with Healy Communications.
Niamh also worked as a Senior Business Journalist at the Irish Examiner and was Chief Reporter at the Irish Post Newspaper in London. In addition to this Niamh has worked for RTE, the Sunday Business Post and now produces the award winning Red Business podcast on Red FM.
Niamh has a Degree in Government and Public Policy from University College Cork and Diplomas in Journalism and Public Relations. She was placed first in Ireland in the Public Relations Institute of Ireland Diploma in Public Relations. She was also nominated twice for Smurfit Business School Young Business Journalist of the Year.

Vivienne is a Product Owner in Monsoon Consulting working with a team of designers and developers to plan, design, build and support commercial, scalable and engaging Enterprise Ecommerce and Content platforms that are helping businesses to meet the digital experience expectations of their customers.

She holds a Masters degree in Digital Innovation from Smurfit and has previously worked in Vodafone and EY.

Noreen McKenzie, President of Network Galway 2017 is a Qualified Financial Advisor working with Sherry FitzGerald Financial Services. Noreen has 18 years’ experience working as an Independent Broker specialising in Protecting the Financial Future of her clients.
A Graduate of University of Limerick with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Public Administration.
Noreen has served on the Network Galway Committee for the past 4 years and is totally committed to supporting and encouraging all Women in Business to maximise their potential.
Noreen lives in Galway with her husband Martin and daughters, Lauren & Ava.

Emily is the owner and company director of MentorUs Business Solutions an award winning business providing qualified business mentoring to Irish SME’s. Emily holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and an Honours Degree in Health Service Management. Through years of experience of working with businesses and entrepreneurs, Emily has developed a wealth of knowledge in business areas such as Marketing, Human Resource Management, Strategic Planning and Business Planning. Emily is also the Business Manager for the HSE National Ambulance Service.

Adrienne Harrington

Adrienne Harrington


Adrienne took up the post of Chief Executive of the Ludgate Hub in Skibbereen in
September 2017, leaving Dublin after 25 years to move to West Cork. Prior to that,
she was responsible for digital and data protection policy in the Department of the
Taoiseach (Prime Minister’s Office).  As a civil servant for many years, Adrienne
worked in a number of Government Departments, as well as being Chief Executive
of the Psychological Society of Ireland for a number of years, and spending time in
Namibia as a development worker with Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO).

Adrienne is chair of the South West Region Action Plan for Jobs Steering Group,
appointed by the Minister for Business, Enterprise & Innovation.

She was the first President of the West Cork branch of Network Ireland which was
established in March 2018.

Adrienne has a Doctorate in Governance from Queen’s University Belfast, as well
as a Masters in Business Studies from the UCD Smurfit Business School.
