Network Ireland West Cork Branch is a non-profit, voluntary organisation which supports the professional and personal development of women in business. It provides a forum in which women can develop professional and personal contacts to ensure
that their contribution and influence is recognised as a vital force in business and in society. The West Cork Branch was established in March 2018 to help bring together businesswomen in what is both a large and remote area of county
Cork.
Whether you are the owner of an established business, just starting out, or working for an employer, Network Ireland West Cork will help you to develop both personally and professionally.
As well as organising monthly
events incorporating guest speakers, workshops and networking, we publish a monthly newsletter and support and promote our members through our social media channels and PR campaigns. Members can also avail of the national free mentoring
programme and can attend events at any branch within the country.
The West Cork branch has enjoyed significant success in the National Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year awards with two National winners and three more being

Anna Healy is President of Network Ireland West Cork for 2025. Anna has been a member of Network Ireland West Cork since its inception in 2018 and has served on the committee for a number of years
as Membership Officer, and then for 3 years on the National Executive as Programme Manager for Mentoring for Success, Network Ireland's national mentoring programme. Outside Network Ireland,
Anna is an Accredited Coach/Mentor & Mentor Programme Manager with EMCC. Anna coaches and mentors businesswomen and solopreneurs, helping them to bring more joy and ease back into doing business.
Anna also provides training to managers on mentoring and coaching skills with the aim of promoting inclusive communication and connection in the workplace.

Sandra Maybury is Ex-Officio, she lead the West Cork branch as president in 2024. Sandra has been a member of Network Ireland West Cork since its inception in 2018 and has served on the committee
for a number of years in different roles, including PRO and branch secretary. Sandra has been self-employed since 2005, founder of Maybury Marketing, she is a Marketing Specialist and an experienced
Consultant and Mentor and brings a wealth of experience to her clients and to the committee.
Susan is an expert in Drama, Communications, and Well-Being with 25 years of experience in corporate communications, public speaking, presentation skills, interview techniques, and developing effective
communication strategies for leaders and teams. She is the founder of Theatre Tricks Drama & Communications, an organization dedicated to helping clients of all ages—from young children to adults—build
confidence and self-esteem, through drama and communication skills to communicate effectively, have clarity in their voice, express themselves with confidence and create a powerful presence.
She has been a member of Network Ireland West Cork since 2019 and has served on the committee as website officer in 2023 & treasurer in 2024. She was on the mentoring panel in 2023 & 2024 and
a branch winner of Network Ireland Solo Business Woman category 2024.
Based in the picturesque town of Kinsale, Gill Brazier is the founder of The Pink PA, a Virtual Assistant business providing tailored support to busy professionals. With nearly a decade of experience
as an Executive Assistant in London and Cork, Gill specialises in helping her clients focus on what truly matters by managing the time-consuming tasks that hold them back. In 2024, Gill joined
the Network Ireland West Cork Branch, where she now serves as Secretary and Website Officer. She is passionate about being part of this vibrant community of businesswomen, supporting its growth,
and fostering collaboration. A proud Cork native, Gill combines her deep industry knowledge with a genuine passion for helping others succeed. She approaches every project with professionalism,
treating her clients’ businesses as if they were her own. When not managing her growing business or fulfilling her role with Network Ireland, Gill cherishes time with her fiancé, Peter, and their
daughter, Annabelle.
Melissa is PRO for Network Ireland West Cork for 2025. - Melissa is an experienced PR professional with over 15 years’ experience in-house and agency across the charity and arts sectors in the UK.
Working alongside famous brands, events and celebrities, curating effective high-profile national and regional press, PR and fundraising campaigns. Since moving to Clonakilty from the UK with
her family in 2022, Melissa has set up her own PR consultancy, successfully boosting the profiles and awareness of large-scale events, fundraising initiatives, businesses and high-profile individuals.
Melissa joined as a new member of Network Ireland West Cork in November 2024.
Patricia Maybury is 1 of our 3 Membership Officers. An etiquette consultant, she provides guidance and advice to foster self-confidence, poise and social finesse. Patricia shares her passion for
elegance and etiquette with her clients to help them understand and refine their knowledge of social norms, courteous behaviour and gracious manners to enable them to navigate professional and
social situations effortlessly and elegantly. The Etiquette Suite provides training and workshops for Corporate, Hospitality, Schools, Groups and Individuals. Patricia is a Graduate of The English
Manner, London (William Hanson), Beaumont Etiquette, New York-(Myka Meier) and The Emma Dupont School of Etiquette, London, certified in style, fashion, image and event management and is a member
of the International Association of Professional Etiquette Consultants.
I am the owner of Julie's Bookkeeping which was created in 2021. We specialise in providing reliable, cloud based bookkeeping services across Ireland. We offer tailored solutions for sole traders
and SMBs. Our goal is to give you peace of mind and the freedom to focus on your business.
Majella is 1 of our 3 Membership Officers within the 2025 Network Ireland West Cork committee. As Director of DNG Galvin Estate Agents, she brings a wealth of experience, excelling in the property
industry for over a decade as an award-winning estate agent, chartered surveyor, and registered valuer. Further demonstrating her professional prowess, Majella holds influential roles as the
Chairperson of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (Southern Region) and serves as the President of Bandon Toastmasters. Majella has been a member of Network Ireland West Cork for three
years, serving on the committee for two of them. In 2022, she was a double winner at branch level in the Network Ireland Businesswoman of the Year Awards and was highly commended at national
level. Majella was a branch winner in Emerging Business Category in 2024.
Jane O’Regan is one of our Events Managers as well as being AIB Branch Manager in Dunmanway. Jane graduated MTU with a degree in Business and Marketing and began her career in Dell EMC in Dublin.
However, West Cork was always calling her, so she moved back to Clonakilty and began her career in AIB. She is a qualified Financial Advisor from the Institute of Bankers and is looking forward
to expanding her mindset and knowledge, through her time on the Network Ireland West Cork Committee.
Elaine is the co-owner of two thriving stores in Skibbereen. Fusion Home Decor stands out as one of Ireland’s largest Paint and Decor Centres, offering an extensive range of products and expert advice
to transform any space. Meanwhile, Fusion Home Design is a bespoke Interior Design Studio that caters to private residential, commercial, and hospitality clients. The studio also collaborates
with Interior Designers, Architects, and Contractors, delivering tailored design solutions that combine functionality with style. Elaine was branch winner of the Businesswoman of the Year Awards
2024, Established Business category. Beyond her professional ventures, Elaine has a passion for fashion and an undeniable love for shoes. She appreciates how design transcends industries, whether
it’s creating a beautiful living space or selecting the perfect pair of shoes to complete an outfit. Her keen eye for detail and appreciation for craftsmanship influence both her personal style
and the creative direction of her businesses. For Elaine, style is about expression, be it through interiors or fashion.

Sarah Holford is a new member of the 2025 committee and is 1 of our 2 social media Officers. She joined the branch in March 2024. Sarah will celebrate her 10 years ‘moving to Ireland’ anniversary
in 2025 after being head hunted from Johannesburg, South Africa. With 20+ years’ experience in a multitude of sectors including, Effective Communications & Sales Training, E-Procurement & Online
Travel Management as well as a lengthy stint working for US Big Tech in the Sales arena, looking after Enterprise customers in the UK&I as well as Southern African markets. Over the past 2 years
Sarah has taken some much-needed time away from the ‘noise’ of the corporate world to pursue further education & qualifications including, Project Management, Financial Management, Artificial
Intelligence, Digital Marketing and Python Programming. She has also used this time to renovate their newly purchased ‘little piece of West Cork,’ attend numerous writers’ workshops to expand
her creative repertoire as well as plan and manage her wedding to now husband Chris, in South Africa in February of 2024. And all of this whilst looking after their 3 adopted cat babies – a full-time
job all on its own!!!
Dominique joined the branch in 2022 after founding her wellness business Saol Yoga, which offers yoga, meditation, sound healing and baby massage, from her studio in Durrus. Saol Yoga caters to the
full life cycle, from pregnancy yoga and mum and baby yoga, to kids yoga in schools, flowing yoga for adults, right through to chair yoga for seniors. Dominique moved to West Cork with her family
in 2021 after 15 years in London where she worked in strategic communications in humanitarian aid for a large global NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation). She’s a book worm, a keen sea swimmer,
a dog lover and a mum.
As a nurse, Aislinn has turned her passion for healing into a medical restorative tattoo business. Specializing in areola restoration, Aislinn is the only provider in Ireland covered by Laya Healthcare.
With care and precision, she helps clients regain confidence and wholeness in this final step in their breast reconstruction journey. Aislinn joined Network Ireland West Cork in November 2023
and went on to represent the branch in the Creative Professional category, at the National Businesswoman of the Year awards in September.
Katherine is a Chartered Accountant and now works as General Manager of O'Donnell Design Ltd which is a manufacturer based in Skibbereen, West Cork, of Casegoods for 4* and 5* Hotels in Ireland and
the UK. We grow stronger when we grow together, and Katherine truly believes that it is essential to bring your team on the journey with you and empower them. She is a Senior Manager working
to drive change without the fuss, an experienced and adaptable leader of teams, with a passion for creating environments where people can learn, improve, develop, and share. Katherine has led
various process improvement initiatives and system implementations that consistently delivered increased efficiencies. Builds collaborative cross-functional relationships internally, with suppliers
and customers, and through industry networks. All work, ambition and enthusiasm is driven by her core values of honesty, integrity, community and equity. Katherine has been a member of Network
Ireland West Cork since its beginnings in 2018, initially as Treasurer of the Branch from 2018 to 2020, and then as Branch President of NI West Cork in 2021, Ex Offico in 2022, Branch Membership
Officer in 2023 and General Committee Member in 2024. At the national level, Katherine has served as Branch Liaison in 2023 and is National Treasurer since 2024.
Network Ireland West Cork names its businesswomen of the year
The winners of the Network Ireland West Cork Businesswoman of the Year awards were announced at the annual luncheon, hosted in the Inchydoney Lodge & Spa West Cork.
Speaking about the awards, Sandra Maybury, President of Network Ireland West Cork said: “The Network Ireland West Cork Businesswoman of Year awards are one of the highlights of my year as president. Women
in business from all over West Cork, both self-employed and employees, have shared their stories by entering, and we are delighted with the entry levels.”
The event featured distinguished speakers who left a lasting impact on the audience, including Triona McCarthy as MC. The Mayor of Clonakilty, Chris Hinchy and the Network Ireland National President, Linda Codoul
who delivered a warm and inspiring speech, highlighting the importance of supporting women in business and celebrating their achievements.
The stories shared by all entrants, are those of success, agility, resilience and a unique sense of grounded business savvy, showcasing the calibre of business leaders in West Cork.

Network Ireland West Cork recently held an extraordinary event in the
stunning Liss Ard Estate to celebrate the outstanding women in business in
the region. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the remarkable
finalists, inspiring speakers, and generous sponsors who made it all
possible.
The event featured distinguished speakers who left a lasting impact on the audience. Emma Murphy Early, the National President, delivered a warm and inspiring welcome speech, highlighting the importance of supporting
women in business and celebrating their achievements. Network Ireland West Cork was honoured to have Jacqueline O'Donovan, CEO of O'Donovan Waste Disposal, as the esteemed guest speaker. Jacqueline's
entrepreneurial journey, industry expertise, and commitment to operational excellence and sustainability have earned her numerous accolades and recognition, including an OBE in the King’s birthday honours.
Her presence and insights greatly enriched the event, leaving attendees inspired and motivated.

Aisling Vaughan of Ayrie was announced as the winner in the Emerging Business category. Her exceptional achievements and entrepreneurial spirit have made her a true inspiration for aspiring businesswomen.
Congratulations to Aisling for this well-deserved recognition! Aisling will represent West Cork at the Network Ireland Businesswoman of the year awards, which will be held in Kildare, later this year.
Noreen Coomey, a solo businesswoman, received the highly commended award for her outstanding contributions. This accolade is a testament to her unwavering commitment and serves as well-deserved recognition of
her remarkable work.

The event was hosted by HR Manager and member of the Network Ireland National Executive, Ciara Wilson, whilst guest speaker was CEO of the Ludgate, Gráinne O’Keeffe.
President of Network West Cork Marie Wiseman congratulated the award winners and paid tribute to sponsors AIB, and the judging panel for their support. She said: "It’s been 3 years since we’ve been able to celebrate in person like this and it’s been a wonderful afternoon. A huge well done to all our winners and everyone who entered the Network Ireland West Cork Businesswoman of the Year Awards 2022. You should be very proud of your achievements. Whilst sadly
there can only be one winner per category to go forward to the National Awards, all our finalists are very much winners in our eyes”.
The winners in each category were determined by the judging panel of Linda Coleman, Branch Manager, AIB Dunmanway; Jackie Gowran, founder of Business Weaving; and Adam Walsh, of General Manager, JJ Fields & Co. They expressed their delight at the opportunity to judge at the awards, and paid tribute to the standard of the applications. All 3 go forward to the National finals which are due to be held in Galway, Friday 7th October.

Speaking of the winners, Network Ireland West Cork President, Katherine O’Sullivan said, “One might think that there might have been a lack of achievement in business over the past year but our nominees and winners are proof that even in the most trying of times they can and will triumph to overcome all obstacles. From established businesses finding new ways to do business, to new start-ups, the judges this year had a difficult task. The variety of women from a broad spectrum of backgrounds is proof that West Cork is a thriving place to work and run a business from.”

These awards are a real opportunity to firstly review their businesses and then showcase them to a wider audience. It can be a real confidence booster. as to receive this kind of acknowledgement is very special. My heartfelt condolences to the other finalists but I’m confident that the winners will represent our branch in a very positive and professional way”.
At the National Awards final held via Zoom on the 8th October, we were delighted to learn that Mags Riordan was highly commended in her category.

This year, Network Ireland West Cork also introduced a new award specifically for the region: ‘The Outstanding Contribution to West Cork Award’. “This is an award for somebody we felt represents everything the network embodies – she is fearless, passionate about West Cork, puts West Cork on the national and international stage and pushes the way forward for other women. This is the incredible Helen Collins, Chairperson of A Taste of West Cork and Managing Partner of Wolfe and Co Solicitors”, announced Ciara Lucy, President of Network Ireland West Cork.
Speaking about the award winners, Ciara said “We are very proud of the Network Ireland West Cork award winners. They have displayed excellence in their respective professions and deserve the recognition they have received here today.”
At the National Awards final in the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery on 22 nd October we were thrilled to have

Katherine O’Sullivan, General Manager at O’Donnell Design Ltd, was highly commended in the Network Ireland Employee of the Year regional final.
The guest speaker at the awards event was esteemed West Cork entrepreneur Colette Twomey, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Clonakilty Food Company, and the MC was Susan Steele, Chair at Sea-Fisheries Protection Authority (SFPA).
Announcing Caroline Murphy of West Cork Eggs as the Emerging New Business award winner, John O’Doherty, speaking on behalf of the judges, said “West Cork eggs is a great example of a sustainable and scalable farm diversification and it enhances and adds greatly to the West Cork food culture. Caroline Murphy is very determined and has achieved considerable success and traction in a short space of time. She has achieved this while bringing fun into what has been regarded as a traditional commodity product.”
Speaking about the award winners, Adrienne Harrington, President of Network Ireland West Cork, said “We are very proud of the Network Ireland West Cork award winners. Caroline, Gráinne, Fiona and Katherine have displayed excellence in their respective professions and deserve the recognition they have received here today. Caroline, Gráinne and Fiona will now represent the West Cork branch at the Network Ireland national awards in September 2018. The business awards luncheon is just the second official Network Ireland West Cork event and the branch is already thriving with upwards of fifty members. It is a real addition to the West Cork business scene.”
