Join us for an evening of inspiration and empowerment on Friday November 22nd at 7pm at The Parkway Hotel, Dunmanway. We are delighted to welcome esteemed guest speaker, Dr. Katriona O'Sullivan, celebrated author of the memoir "Poor" and a prominent voice on social advancement, education and resilience.

Dr. Katriona O'Sullivan has an extraordinary life story. Born into a disadvantaged background, she experienced homelessness, poverty and addiction in her early life. Despite these immense challenges, Katriona defied the odds and became one of Ireland's leading advocates for access to education. Now a lecturer at Maynooth University, her work focuses on helping marginalised groups access opportunities through education and technology. Katriona’s memoir, "Poor", is a raw, inspiring account of her journey from extreme poverty to academic success and personal transformation, offering lessons on overcoming adversity and the power of education.

At this event, Katriona will share her incredible personal journey, along with insights on resilience, the importance of education and empowering oneself to rise above difficult circumstances. Her story is not only motivational but also a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the importance of opportunities for all. We are delighted to also be joined by Southern Star Editor, Siobhan Cronin who will lead the conversation with Katriona on stage, guiding an engaging discussion for the audience.

Whether you’re seeking personal inspiration, professional growth or simply a meaningful evening in the company of like-minded individuals, this event promises to offer valuable takeaways for everyone.
